Designer, amateur musician (guitar and mandolim) and an amateur photographer (I have a Sony DSC-W5, an old Pentax K1000, and a very old HalmaFlex, which belonged to my grandfather and it’s just perfect!).
I’m currently developing my PhD research thesis on Design at PUC-Rio (2007). I hold a Master’s degree in Design (PUC-Rio, 2000), and I’ve studied graphic and product design at ESDI/UERJ (1995).
As a designer, I mainly work with interaction design. I’ve developed educational projects using the Internet, in the early 90’s; I was a member of the design team of RNP; I was responsible for the information architecture and interface design teams of the Creative Department of Globo.com, a major portal in Brazil. While at Globo.com, I was responsible for the first in-house usability lab in Brazil, where my team conducted several usability tests.
I’m an Assistant Professor in the Design Departament, at Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (UFES)
My research interests are: interaction design, experience design, ubiquitous computing, pervasive computing, social computing, cyberculture, information design, HCI and usability.
